Romantic Brunch Wedding at the Ashley Castle in Chandler, Arizona

Ian and Brook's wedding was a beautiful celebration of their love story! As their wedding photographers, we had the pleasure of capturing all the special moments of their day.

How they met

They met at Northern Arizona University's Christian Challenge club, and after a week of getting to know each other, they went on their first date listening to 2Pac while going to Dutch Bros, Pato Thai, and the Home Coming Carnival. They fell in love, and decided to tie the knot at the Ashley Castle in Chandler, Arizona after four and a half years of dating.

Waiting til the altar

Looking back, they both agreed that the most special moment of their wedding day was seeing each other for the first time at the altar. It was a beautiful moment filled with emotion and love. As they stated, “Seeing someone that you’ve spent a good deal of your life with that has been there through everything and finally being able to marry them and see them for the rest of your life is something of pure joy and majestic beauty. No words can describe that moment.”

For the love of music

Ian and Brook incorporated their love of music into their wedding with a record guest book and carefully selected main song choices. They even chose California Love by 2Pac, which was the first song they listened to on their first date and was used as their grand entrance song at their reception! As another personal touch, they selected a cake topper that represented their shared hobby of adventuring and being outdoors.

Wedding planning advice

For couples currently planning their weddings, Ian and Brook's advice is to not get too lost in the planning process and to remember the meaning of their wedding day. They suggest not taking for granted the special time of engagement and how they can continue to date and grow as a couple.

How they found us

Ian and Brook found us at an Ashley Castle open-house event, and we were thrilled to be a part of their special day. As the Castle’s preferred photographers, we are well-versed on how weddings go at The Ashley Castle, which was especially important to them since their wedding was to take place during the sunny part of the day during their brunch wedding. After the wedding, they told us that they were in love with their photos and noted that we captured their special day perfectly. Of course that is what we love to hear from our couples. We were thrilled to be a part of their special day.
